The University of Hawaii at Hilo held off hard-charging University of Alaska for a 60-58 win in West Region competition.

led the Vulcans with 12 points each. McKenzie Mangino
had 10 rebounds
The Vulcans held a 33-21 lead entering the second half and extended it to as much as 14 points.
"Offensively we were much better than last night," UH Hilo Head Coach David Kaneshiro
said. "We did not handle the pressure well in the second half. That's something we need to work on."
The game was tied seven times, the last with 35 second remaining.
With the Vulcans controlling the ball, Kamie Imai
kicked the ball out to Kealoha. The junior guard drove by a defender to the baseline and was fouled setting her up for the two game-winning free throws.
